Season 13 Under the Hood: New Classes, Smarter Analysis & What's Coming Next

From full Warlock support to automated patch research — here's everything we've built behind the scenes this season, plus a look at what's coming next for StatVerdict.

🔥 A Season of Big Changes

Season 13 — Season of Reckoning — brought more to Diablo IV than just new content. Behind the scenes, we've been rebuilding and upgrading Stat Verdict to keep pace with every patch, every new mechanic, and every class the Lord of Hatred expansion introduced. Here's a look at what's changed.

⚔️ Warlock & Full Expansion Class Support

The Lord of Hatred expansion added the Warlock — a Soul Shard-based class with mechanics unlike anything else in the game. Stat Verdict now fully supports Warlock analysis across all five of its signature builds: Hell Fracture, Dread Claws, Blazing Scream, Eviscerate, and Minion Warlock. The scanner understands Soul Shard selection, Volatility, Brimstone mines, and Hex stacks — so your Warlock loot gets graded against the right criteria, not generic class rules.

🔮 Horadric Cube Integration

Patch 3.0.3 made the Horadric Cube central to end-game crafting, and the scanner now reflects that. Magic and Rare items with Greater Affixes are automatically flagged as Horadric Cube candidates — instead of being auto-graded D for rarity, they get a scoring bump so they surface as real crafting opportunities rather than accidental salvage. New recipes the scanner now knows about:

✨ Charm & Talisman System

Charms and Seals are a completely different category from gear — and now the scanner treats them that way. Talisman analysis scores on affix relevance and Set bonus potential, not Item Power. Unique Charms are always flagged as keep. And following the Patch 3.0.3 change that lets Charms roll Greater Affixes (~4% chance per affix), a GA Charm is now correctly identified as a significant find rather than being quietly misclassified as a crafting candidate.

🧩 Runeword Socket Economy

Two-socket items on valid Runeword bases are now scored differently from one-socket items. The scanner flags 2-socket helms, chest pieces, and two-handed weapons as Runeword-ready — able to host a full Ritual + Invocation Rune pair — and warns when a valid base has only one socket, since that combination isn't possible without two. It's a small detail that adds up fast at Torment XII.

🤖 Automated Patch Research Pipeline

Keeping the scanner accurate used to mean manually reading every patch note and updating the logic by hand. We've replaced that with a fully automated research pipeline:

When Season 14 launches June 30, the system will catch the changes automatically — no scrambling to update over the weekend.

📊 Error Monitoring & Reliability

We added a full error monitoring stack so we know exactly what's going wrong before users have to report it. Every scan failure is logged with its error category, the message shown in the browser, and the server-side root cause — separated so we can tell the difference between a rate limit (the protection working as intended) and a real bug. A daily digest alerts us only when error volume crosses a meaningful threshold, so we're not drowning in noise and real issues get addressed fast.

📱 What's Next — Mobile App Beta

We've been quietly working on something bigger: a Stat Verdict mobile app. The goal is to make scanning your loot as frictionless as possible — screenshot, tap, verdict, back to farming — without needing to open a browser.

We're in early development and looking for Android beta testers to help shape the experience. If you're interested in being part of the trial, send an email to StatVerdict@gmail.com with your device type and a note about your interest. Android only at this stage — iOS support will follow later.

More details coming soon. Thanks for being part of the Stat Verdict community — the support and feedback through Season 13 has genuinely driven everything above.
