Nemesis Bracers & Squirt's Blouse: Slot Traps

Nemesis Bracers go in Gloves, Squirt's Blouse is a Chest piece. Don't guess slots by name — scan free at statverdict.com.

If you've played Diablo across its three decades, some of these Season 15 Legacy Unique names hit hard with nostalgia — and that nostalgia is exactly what will trip you up. Two of the nine Legacy Uniques now live in Season of Hell's Legacy don't go where their names tell you they go. Nemesis Bracers aren't bracers, and Squirt's Blouse isn't a necklace. Read the name and guess the slot, and you'll waste an equip decision at best. Here's the whole roster, the two traps, and why the tooltip's type line is the only thing worth trusting.

Nine Legacy Uniques, Two That Break Slot Expectations

Season of Hell's Legacy brings nine permanent Legacy Uniques to both the Seasonal and Eternal realms. They're a 30th-anniversary tribute, pulled from Diablo history and dropped back into the modern game — which means their names carry baggage the current item system doesn't match.

Two of them are outright slot traps:

Why This Matters: Read the Type Line, Never the Name

The lesson here is simple and it applies far beyond these two items: a familiar item name is not a reliable slot indicator. The tooltip's type line — the bit that actually says "Chest Armor" or "Gloves" — is the fact. The name is just a label carried over from a game that worked differently.

Get this wrong and the cost is real. Build around Squirt's Blouse as an amulet and you've left your actual amulet slot unplanned while double-booking your chest. Treat Nemesis Bracers as something other than gloves and you've quietly committed a hand-armor slot you thought was free. These aren't catastrophic mistakes, but they're the kind that waste a swap and send you back to the drawing board mid-build.

When a Legacy Unique drops, check the type line on its tooltip before you plan a single thing around it.

The Full Roster at a Glance

Here's every Legacy Unique in Season 15, with its real slot — not the slot its name implies. Four are usable by every class; five are class-limited weapons or an offhand.

All-Class (4)

Class-Limited Weapons & Offhand (5)

A note on the weapons: the class lists above are the real restrictions, and they interact with your character's weapon rules. The Spiritborn, for instance, is restricted to two-handed weapons — Glaives, Quarterstaves and Polearms — which is exactly why it shows up on Arioc's Needle (a 2H Polearm) and nowhere among the one-handers. Henri's Perquisition is an Offhand Focus, so it competes for your offhand slot, not a weapon slot. Check the class line the tooltip prints; it's the final word on whether your character can even equip the thing.

Seven Also Exist as Unique Charms — and You'll See Them Early

Here's the second layer. Seven of the nine Legacy Uniques also exist as Unique Charms: Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, Squirt's Blouse, Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom and The Furnace. (Leoric's Crown and Messerschmidt's Reaver are the two that don't have a Charm version.) That means seven familiar names now show up in two completely different forms — as equipment that goes in a gear slot, and as a Charm that goes into your Talisman.

So "Squirt's Blouse" might be a chest piece, or it might be a Unique Charm, depending on which one dropped. Same name, two systems, and only the tooltip tells you which you're holding. This is the slot-trap problem compounded: you can't assume a slot from the name, and now you can't even assume it's gear versus a Charm.

And you'll run into all of this sooner than you'd expect, because all Uniques now drop at level 1 in any difficulty. A Legacy Unique on a fresh character is no longer a weird anomaly — it's normal. You don't have to grind to endgame to meet these items and their naming quirks. You'll be sorting out whether Nemesis Bracers go in your gloves while you're still leveling.

How Stat Verdict Handles It

This is precisely the kind of thing a loot analyzer should get right automatically. When you scan a Legacy Unique, the slot is read from the tooltip's type line, not from the item's name — so Nemesis Bracers come back graded as gloves and Squirt's Blouse comes back graded as a chest piece. You get the S-through-D grade and a keep-or-salvage verdict against the slot the item actually occupies, not the one its name suggests. No guessing, no mis-slotting, no wasted swap.

The Short Version

Nine Legacy Uniques are live on both realms this season. Two of them lie about their slot: Nemesis Bracers are gloves, and Squirt's Blouse is a chest piece. Four are all-class (Leoric's Crown, Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, Squirt's Blouse) and five are class-limited weapons and an offhand. Seven also come as Unique Charms, so a familiar name might be gear or a Talisman socketable — and with every Unique now dropping at level 1 in any difficulty, you'll meet all of them early. The fix for every one of these traps is the same: read the type line on the tooltip, never the name. Do that, and no Legacy Unique can fool you.
