Pit 150 Cleared: The S14 Class Power Rankings
Five classes cleared Pit 150 while Warlock, Paladin & Necro lag. See the S14 rankings — then scan your gear at statverdict.com.
Pit 150 is no longer a mythical wall. Three weeks into Season 14's Season of Death Awakening, the leaderboards have settled enough to give us a clear read on who's carrying the meta and who's stuck spinning their wheels in the Pandemonium. Five classes have logged clean Pit 150 clears — and three are watching from the sidelines. Let's break down the rankings, the reasons, and whether you should reroll or ride your current class into the next tuning pass.
The Five Classes That Cleared Pit 150
The clears aren't close. When a build can push tier 150, it's because it stacks multiplicative damage layers and survives the density spikes that Pandemonium Ruptures now dump into the Pit. Here's who made it, and why they scale.
1. Spiritborn — The Ceiling Setter
No surprise here. Quill Volley and the resurgent Vortex builds hit 150 first. Spiritborn scales off Resolve stacking and Maximum Life-to-damage conversions that snowball harder than any other class. With Greater Affix Attack Speed and Critical Strike Damage on weapons, the class practically breaks the tier's health-bar math.
2. Sorcerer — Death Awakening's Golden Child
The new seasonal power interacts beautifully with Chain Lightning and the reworked Firewall. Sorc's clear relies on Vulnerable Damage, Ranks to Core Skills, and heavy Mana-sustain from Mythic-crafted Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop. The two guaranteed affixes on every Unique this season pushed several Sorc build pieces over the edge.
3. Rogue — Consistency Incarnate
Barrage and Heartseeker Rogue don't have the single-highest ceiling, but the survivability plus Lucky Hit loops make 150 repeatable rather than a one-in-ten lucky pull. Rogue rewards precise affix tuning more than raw luck — exactly the kind of build where every wasted stat costs a full tier.
4. Druid — Cataclysm Comeback
Storm Druid is back thanks to the expansion's new Aspect interactions. Stacking Overpower Damage, Willpower, and Earthen Bulwark uptime lets Cataclysm builds tank the Realmwalker adds that spill into the Pit. It's a slow, grinding 150 — but a legitimate one.
5. Barbarian — The Bruiser That Refuses to Die
Whirlwind and Bash Barb round out the club. Barb's edge is armor-cap survivability paired with Strength and Damage to Close Targets multipliers. It clears 150 by simply outlasting the tier's damage checks while its bleed and dust-devil layers erode enemy health.
Why Warlock, Paladin, and Necromancer Are Lagging
The bottom three aren't unplayable — they're just capped short of 150 with realistic gear.
- Warlock: The expansion's newest class has flashy Soul Harvest synergies, but its damage-over-time layers ramp too slowly for the Pit's tight timers. By the time your curses fully stack, the guardian's already reset. Warlock needs a scaling buff to its DoT snapshotting to compete.
- Paladin: Holy Nova and Consecration builds have insane survivability but a hard damage ceiling. Paladin's multipliers are additive where the top five stack multiplicatively — that math gap is roughly two full Pit tiers. Great for farming, short for pushing.
- Necromancer: The most frustrating case. Minion builds lose too many summons to Rupture density, and Bone Spear's crit scaling didn't get the Death Awakening love Sorc did. Necro clears 145–147 comfortably but hits a wall at 148 where the health-bar scaling outpaces its burst.
The Gear and Affix Priorities That Separate the Clears
Here's the truth: the gap between a Pit 145 and a Pit 150 clear is almost never the build — it's the affixes. Top pushers min-max every single line. If you're leaving even one sub-optimal affix on an endgame piece, you're bleeding tiers.
The priorities that consistently show up on 150-clear gear:
- Greater Affixes on core stats. Any Magic or Rare with a Greater Affix is a Horadric Cube crafting candidate — never salvage it. Those are your ceiling-raising materials.
- Multiplicative damage buckets: Vulnerable, Critical Strike Damage, and Overpower where your build supports them. Stack across buckets, not within one.
- Mythic Uniques where it counts. Any 850+ IP Unique can be crafted into a Mythic via the Cube — same slot output. And with enchanting now working on Uniques and Mythics (added affixes roll max on Mythics), a well-crafted Mythic can outperform a triple-Greater-Affix Rare.
- Enchant the last line. Now that enchanting hits Uniques too, reroll that dead affix into your top multiplier. This alone is worth a tier or two.
Not sure whether your chest piece is meta-ceiling or meta-trash? Screenshot it and scan your gear at statverdict.com — you'll get an instant S/A/B/C/D verdict on whether those affixes match what the top clears are running.
Should You Reroll or Push Into the Next Tuning Patch?
The honest answer depends on where you sit.
If you're on a top-five class: Keep pushing. Your ceiling is real and gear-limited, not build-limited. Every hour spent farming Greater Affixes and crafting Mythics moves you closer to 150. This is the payoff window.
If you're on Warlock, Paladin, or Necro: Don't panic-reroll. Blizzard has already signaled a tuning pass, and the bottom three are the obvious buff candidates — especially Warlock, since no dev wants their brand-new expansion class stuck in D-tier. If you love the class, farm your Mythics now so you're loaded the moment the buff lands. If you're purely a pusher chasing leaderboard rank, roll a Spiritborn or Sorc; they'll still be strong post-patch.
Either way, the smart move is to optimize the gear you already have before you commit to a fresh character. A lot of players think they've hit a class wall when they've actually hit an affix wall. Upload your endgame pieces to statverdict.com and confirm which it is before you sink 40 hours into a reroll.
The Verdict
Spiritborn, Sorcerer, Rogue, Druid, and Barbarian own the Pit 150 club this season, thanks to multiplicative scaling and Rupture-proof survivability. Warlock, Paladin, and Necromancer are one tuning patch away from relevance — so hold your Mythics if you're loyal, or pivot to a top-five class if you're chasing the leaderboard. But before any of that, make sure your affixes actually match the meta ceiling. Screenshot your endgame gear and scan it free at statverdict.com — because in Season 14, tiers aren't won by build alone. They're won by every single stat line.
