Tibault''s Will & Heir of Perdition Confirmed: 80% Nerfed to 15% in Season 14

Blizzard confirmed the numbers in today''s Developer Update Livestream — both Tibault''s Will and Heir of Perdition are being cut from 80% to 15% damage. Here''s what that actually means for your builds.

The Numbers Are In — And They're Brutal

Today's Developer Update Livestream confirmed what was teased ahead of Season 14: Tibault's Will and Heir of Perdition are both receiving massive nerfs. We expected significant reductions. What Blizzard announced was an 81% cut.

Both items drop from an 80% damage modifier to 15%. That's not a tuning pass — that's a rebuild.

Tibault's Will — What Actually Changed

Tibault's Will has been auto-included in nearly every Rogue and mobility-focused build this season because of its 80% damage amplifier during Unstoppable windows. At 15%, that amplifier no longer justifies a Mythic slot on its own — you'd need the movement speed bonus to carry the item.

Specific builds to re-evaluate immediately:

Run your current loadout through StatVerdict before swapping anything — the updated grading context for Season 14 will reflect the 15% value.

Heir of Perdition — What Actually Changed

Heir of Perdition's 80% Hex echo damage amplifier is now 15%, but Blizzard added a new Critical Strike Chance mechanic tied to Hex stacks to partially compensate.

For Warlock players: the item isn't dead, but Hell Fracture and Blazing Scream builds that were built entirely around the echo multiplier need to reassess. The new Critical Strike Chance bonus may open a different build direction, but you're not getting 80% echo damage back.

Why Such a Drastic Cut?

Both items are part of the broader Mythic Uniques 3.0 overhaul arriving with Season 14. The entire Mythic system has been redesigned — every Unique can now become a Mythic, powers are being rebalanced across the board, and crafting is now deterministic. The 80% modifiers were outliers that had to come down for the new system to function.

The good news: Mythic crafting is now guaranteed. If you put in a pair of Unique boots, you get a pair of Mythic Unique boots back — no RNG on the item type. All Mythic affixes added through Enchanting or Tempering roll at maximum values.
